Gold In London!
The Intermediate Wild captured Gold in the 25th Annual London Devilettes Tournament.
Finishing up the first half of their season with a solid 2nd place in league play and a Silver Medal in the Jason Cripps Tournament, the Wild entered the 16 team London Tournament focused on reaching another final.
Finishing first in their Pool, the Wild continued their exceptional team play with shutout victories over Clarington and Windsor in tournament playoff games. Backstopped by strong goaltending (0.50 GAA and 94.92 SV%) including 3 shutouts during the weekend, the Wild benefitted from a potent offence averaging 24 shots and 4 goals per game.
Strong forechecking and unselfish team play allowed the Wild to again dominate territorially in the final, securing the Gold an impressive 4-1 victory over Sault Ste Marie.
The Intermediate Wild look to continue their successful season as they wrap up league playoffs and compete in the upcoming Walter Gretzky Tournament in Brantford.
