Concussion Management
The WGMHA is requiring all players who are 10 years of age by September 1, 2014 take an online Impact testing baseline assessment. There is a cost of $25 per player to be paid through the WGMHA for administration of the test.

The Impact testing baseline will assist with concussion management in the case of a head injury during the season.

Please refer to the rest of the article for instructions on taking the online assessment.

Step 1

Before you start the test ensure the following:

·       Ensure that the test is being taken in a controlled environment with no distractions. (i.e. no music, television, telephone, interruptions from others, noise etc)

·       The test is about 25 minutes long and does require a lot of focus and concentration.  Therefore, consider having your daughter take the test at a time of day when they are most alert.

·       I would recommend for the younger players (10-11yrs) that a parent is with the player while taking the test to read the module instructions prior to starting the module so they understand the task.  At the start of each module, there are sample tests to ensure that they know the type of questions that will be asked.

Step 2:  Go to the Impact testing website

Step 3:  Enter your Customer ID Code- 4UA6PT5JM55

Step 4:  Select your organization on the “Please Select Your Organization then and team” drop-down menu

Step 5: Click “Launch Baseline Test”

Step 6: Begin Test

Please set aside 25 minutes for completion.  It’s best to print this page to begin testing.

If you have any questions or concerns while conducting the test please contact Kim Wiseman, WGMHA Board representative.
