Gamesheets

Electronic gamesheet data is collected for insurance purposes.  Any falsification of data may make it invalid for insurance claims.  It is important that the game sheet data be entered accurately both during and as soon as the game has been completed.  The officials must review the data entered into the electronic game sheet via the code they have been provided and sign off on the game as soon as possible following the end of the game.

RAMP Gamesheet App

  • All teams will use the electronic gamesheets on the RAMP Gamesheet App (an app available on both iOS and Android mobile phones).
  • Please see the RAMP Gamesheet App instructions provided on our website under the Coaches tab – ‘RAMP Gamesheet Information’.
  • It is strongly suggested that you load the game on to your mobile device prior to entering the arena.
  • Each game on RAMP will have four access codes:
  1. Gamesheet Code – to be used by the timekeeper
  2. Official (referee) Code
  3. Home Code
  4. Visitor Code
  • Each Head Coach, Manager and Timekeeper must have their own, unique login to this App using their personal email address.
  • Timekeepers MUST have their own phone to do the timekeeping and MUST have the RAMP Gamesheet App and a personal login ID.  (Managers and Head Coaches need their own login IDs.)
  • The signatures of the HOME and the VISITOR Head Coaches (or Managers) are required.  The coaches will accept the responsibility that their team information is accurate for each game.  Players and other team staff do not need to sign the gamesheet.
  • In advance of the game, the Manager should send the 'Gamesheet Code' for the game to the Timekeeper so they can add the game to their phone/app.  (DO NOT use this code as a Manager or Coach...you use the Home or Visitor code).
  • The timekeeper MUST add the game to their phone while they have data/WIFI.  They should refresh the gamesheet in the lobby of the arena just prior to the game so it shows the players and staff that have been checked off by the teams.
  • The timekeeper MUST open the game in the app in OFFLINE mode and record the game on their phone.
  • The timekeeper must enter the period lengths.
  • Before the game starts, the timekeeper MUST ask the referees their names and add them to the gamesheet.  Click on the and select 'Officials' and add their names.
  • VERY IMPORTANT...IMMEDIATELY AFTER THE GAME, THE TIMEKEEPER MUST GO TO THE REFEREE'S ROOM to have the referees review and sign the gamesheet (on the timekeeper’s phone).  They should click 'Sign as Other User' to sign.  ALL officials should sign the gamesheet.
  • NOTE:  If the referees need to add comments to the gamesheet (under ‘Game Writeups’), they can delay signing the gamesheet to give themselves time to do that.
  • The Timekeeper must give the referee the ‘Officials Code’ that is on the main page of the gamesheet (at the bottom).  The referees will then be able to add an Write Ups about the game using that code.
  • DO NOT MARK THE GAME AS COMPLETE otherwise the referee cannot access the gamesheet.  The referee should email [email protected] once the Write Ups are done so we can mark the game as complete.  (Those Write Ups are confidential and no one on staff or at the Association can view them – only the referee and the OWHA.)
  • They have 24 hours to input these Game Writeups and sign the gamesheet.
  • The Timekeeper must:
    • Sign the gamesheet,
    • Mark the game as Complete (unless there was a suspension and/or the officials need to add a write-up  – see Note above), and
    • Click on ‘Sync Game’ as soon as they are able to connect successfully to Wi-Fi (i.e. in the lobby of the arena).
  • Following the game, the Manager is required to ensure the On-Ice Officials have signed the gamesheet in the App.  If not, please notify the WGMHA Ice Scheduler.
