Tryouts
- If you plan to tryout with another Association, Permission to Tryout forms (PTT) can be requested starting March 2026. Contact our registrar at [email protected]. Please allow 48hrs to process your request.
- Tryouts for the U11, U13, U15 and U18 will be in April and May.
- Tryouts for U9B and the Senior rep teams will be held in September. Please watch our website for dates.
- All players MUST register for tryouts and pay via an etransfer in advance of the tryout dates. For more information, please see the Tryout Registration Information page.
- Tampering is not permitted, and a player registered with an association may not be approached to play for another association without the permission of her current association.
Internal Tryouts
Only players who were rostered with the Woolwich Wild during the 2025–2026 season are permitted to attend Internal Tryouts.
All players who will be U11–U18 for the 2026–2027 season and were rostered with the Woolwich Wild in 2025–2026 are eligible, regardless of residence.
Woolwich Wild has engaged the Woolwich Hockey Academy (WHA), a local organization led by Tony Code that specializes in hockey development, to deliver the Internal Tryout sessions. These sessions are intended to support player development and help prepare athletes for upcoming tryouts.
Each age group will have two Internal Tryout sessions.
Participation in Internal Tryouts is mandatory for any 2025–2026 Woolwich Wild player intending to tryout for a Tier 1 team. Tier 2 players are strongly encouraged to attend, as these sessions provide valuable development opportunities to support preparation for tryouts.
U18 players are asked to attend the Internal Tryout corresponding to the level of team they played on during the 2025–2026 season.
Due to the large number of returning U18 players, participants have been grouped based on the team(s) they were rostered on in the 2025–2026 season. This approach allows players to skate alongside familiar peers while enabling the WHA to deliver skill development sessions appropriate to each player’s recent level of play.
All U18 players remain eligible to attend the Tier 1 Open Tryouts, unless released following the Internal Tryouts.
