Intermediates Take Gold at Jason Cripps Tourney
Submitted By Brooks Campbell on Saturday, December 31, 2016
The intermediate team won the gold at the Jason Cripps Tournament. The team started out a little shaky with a 2 1 loss to Hamilton but then followed that up with a hard fought 1 0 win over Cambridge. Their next game they only had 6 skaters but they pulled a 3 1 win out of the hat. They faced Cambridge again in the semi-finals and after getting behind 1 0 they scored 3 goals in 4 minutes to end the game ahead 3 1. The Intermediates then faced Kitchener for the finals and after half a game at 0 0 they started to bend the netting and finished the game 4 0 with Autumn Campbell getting the shut out and Amy Martin a hat trick. Way to work girls.
