Remembering Herb Townsend
Submitted By Jacinta Faries on Friday, May 29, 2020
It is with heavy hearts that we share news of Herb Townsend’s passing on May 13th.  Herb was a volunteer with our association for many years both as a Coach and a team Manager.

One of his former players, Marlowe Schott, remembers him fondly:  “Coach Herb Townsend was one of the greats.  He truly put the magic in Minor Hockey.  We were privileged to play for him and I think I speak for all of us when I say he built us up both as players, and as people.  When I look back on my hockey days, I’ll always hear Herb’s voice:  'We’re going to the dance!'”

We extend our deepest condolences to Herb’s family and friends during this most difficult time.
