Looking for more information about Extended Groups and game play?
Looking for more info regarding the Extended Groups for game play in Session 2?

Here is some info on planned groups (as of October 16th).  Each Extended Group has less than 50 players and will have approximately 4 – 5 playing teams.  These playing teams will typically play with 9 players.

As per the OWHA, player participation is limited to only one sanctioned hockey association in the Province of Ontario and from there, players are confined to only one Group and one Extended Group.

You can find a listing of the Training Groups for Session 2 and the Associations that will be in their Extended Groups.

Our association has received approval from the OWHA and the Region of Waterloo Public Health Unit for the Tiered/Rep level 3-on-3 and/or 4-on-4 Modified Game play.  We are currently waiting for approval of the Local League plan. Here is a link to the OWHA Mandatory 3-on-3 and 4-on-4 Playing Rules.

Please keep in mind, based on registration for Session #2 and evaluation of skaters in Session 1, we will assign players to new Local League and tiered Training Groups ready for game play.

We understand you may have concerns about our plans for Session 2.  Our association has been and will continue to follow the protocols established by Hockey Canada and the OWHA.  These safety guidelines were developed in conjunction with Public Health Ontario.   We encourage you to thoroughly review our Return to Play plan and the COVID-19 resources on our website.
