Woolwich Wild Update - January 18, 2022
The Woolwich Wild board met on January 17th, and I would like to provide you with an update on our plans for a return to hockey.

The board has been working with the OWHA and Kitchener Local League to make plans for continuing the season once ice time can resume.  For rep teams, we are waiting on direction from the OWHA with regards any changes to regular season play and plans for Provincials and League Championships.  For the local league teams modifications in the season may be made once the players return to the ice.  We are working on many different scenarios to ensure a safe and exciting remainder of the season.

As of today, we have not received any update from the Province of Ontario, the Waterloo Public Health Unit, the OWHA or the Township of Woolwich as to what hockey will look like after January 27, the presently scheduled date of moving out of the current Stage 2.

With regards to the missed ice (games and practices), the board is revaluating the fees currently paid and our plan is to determine a player credit at the end of the 2021/22 season once we know the full impact on any COVID shutdowns and changes to our hockey programming.  That credit will then be available to offset 2022/23 registration fees OR, on request, as a refund.  We will also be working with teams to obtain refunds for any cancelled tournaments.

Looking forward to seeing you at the arena soon!
