Local Referee Skates 1st NHL Game
On April 8th, local hockey referee & former Elmira District Hockey Referees Association President, Morgan MacPhee, skated his first regular season NHL game in Phoenix, Arizona. He was along side another Elmira NHL referee, Garrett Rank, which made the day even more special.
Morgan MacPhee, who hails from Elmira Ontario, took up officiating with EDHRA at age 14 to earn some money and stay involved in the game. He officiated many Woolwich Wild and Woolwich Wildcat games when starting his career.
