U18A Takes Gold at Waterloo Fall Challenge Cup
Frank Sinatra has a lyric that “love” is better the second time round. In Waterloo’s Fall Challenge Cup this weekend “Gold” was better in the second straight tournament. The U18A team went 5-1 to capture the coveted gold medal. Shout out to Haylie Smith and Makenna Kroetsch for their combined “savage” goaltending. Shout out to Brooke Kroetsch who had a fantastic tournament. Congratulations to Liv Straus, who stayed hotter than a Saudi Arabian summer with 5 goals and an assist in six straight games, bringing home tournament MVP honours.
