Instructor

Vinny Merante, the owner of Redline Functional Training, will once again lead our Woolwich Wild goalie instruction.

About Vinny Merante

Vinny completed a 4 year playing career at Wilfrid Laurier University for the men's Varsity hockey team (2013-2017). He has since been an assistant coach at the university level for 3 seasons along with a head coach at the U16 and U15 AAA level. Vinny currently owns and operates a boutique hockey development center (Redline) located in Kitchener, ON with his wife, Cassandra. Vinny has worked as a goalie coach for 10+ years and continues to train goalies of all ages and levels on a consistent basis.

"Through a detailed and process oriented coaching style, Woolwich Wild goaltenders can expect to enjoy useful and up-to-date goaltending instruction which will allow for a better understanding of the position, and ultimately more efficiency in the crease. Coaches will observe and learn ways to evaluate their goaltenders and provide them with consistent feedback to ensure development throughout the season".
