Would you like to coach or be a team staff member next season????
If so, please complete the WoolwichWild 2013 Team Staff Application and email to [email protected], or drop it off at our office (#3) at the WMC.
The deadlines for Head Coach applications are:
May 1st for rep team Head Coaches
June 1st for local league team Head Coaches

Required Certifications
  • Coaches must have a minimum of a D1 or NCCP Coach Stream certification plus a Respect in Sport/Speak-Out certification.
  • Trainers must have a minimum of the HTCP Level 1 and Respect in Sport/Speak-Out certifications.
  • Managers must have a minimum of the Respect in Sport/Speak-Out certification.
All rostered staff must have a valid Vulnerable Sector Records Check (police check).

Trainer Level 1 clinics are available on line at:  HTCP

Respect in Sport clinics are available on-line at:  Respect in Sports

Coaching clinics are available over the summer and in the fall.  They are offered by the Woolwich Minor Hockey Association (www.woolwichminorhockey.ca/clinics.php), in addition to the OWHA, OMHA and Alliance Hockey.  You may take courses with any of these Associations and have the certification transferred over to the OWHA.

Please keep your receipts as we may provide a partial reimbursement to people who are rostered with a Woolwich Wild team in the fall.

Re-certification for Existing Coaches & Trainers

If your certification expires this year, you will need to take either the trainer course or coaching refresher clinic.  The trainer course is offered on-line at www.owha.on.ca/htcp.asp#htcp.  The refresher coaching clinics are offered by the Woolwich Minor Hockey Association (www.woolwichminorhockey.ca/clinics.php), in addition to the OWHA, OMHA and Alliance Hockey.

Please keep your receipts as we may provide a partial reimbursement to people who are rostered with a Woolwich Wild team in the fall.

A member of our Coaching Selection committee will contact you in June or July to arrange an interview.
If you have any questions, please contact Shawn Brubacher (our Coaching Convenor) at [email protected].
