The U13B team is incredibly fortunate to have some amazing coaches.
Now it's time to turn the spotlight onto these 4 hard working dads who run practices, manage the bench, and help instil a love of this great game in the next generation of hockey players.

Coach Greg
Coach Greg is our head coach, and he is affectionately known as “Gregerroni.” He’s a meat and potatoes kinda guy and loves pie for dessert. Coach Greg cheers for Sidney Crosby and the Pittsburgh Penguins and thinks teamwork is the best thing about hockey. Coach Greg's favourite drill is the "Juvenile." He has been involved with hockey for most of his life--either as a player or a coach. But the best thing about Coach Greg is that he always takes time to praise and encourage his players looks for ways to celebrate their successes, and he challenges them when he knows they can be better.
Coach Jeremy
Coach Jeremy or “Jer” is one of our assistant coaches this year. He does a great job running the forwards and loves that hockey is a fast, intense sport. Coach Jeremy loves eating freshly caught fish, especially perch and hasn’t met a chip he doesn’t like—Sweet Chilly Heat Doritos are his favourites in case you’re wondering. The Toronto Maple Leaf are his team, and Jeremy’s all-time favourite player is former Leaf’s captain, Mats Sundin. Coach Jeremy looks on the bright side of things and always has a positive word to share with the girls.
Coach Ryan Nelson
Coach Ryan, or “Nelly” is this year’s goalie coach. He set a goal for his goalies at the start of the season, and he celebrated when the girls reached their goal. He loves to fuel up on surf and turf, all dressed potato chips, and pepperoni pizza. Despite his wife’s best efforts, Ryan will not be eating quinoa any time soon. Coach Ryan cheers for Mitch Marner and the Toronto Maple Leafs, and he always gets pumped up with “Welcome to the Jungle" (we try and play it for every home game to help get him fired up).
Coach Ryan Smith
Coach Ryan runs the defence on this year’s U13B team. He likes his steak and chocolate—not together, of course, and loves peppers on his pizza. Coach Ryan always has a smile on his face and looks for positive things to share about his team’s efforts and play. Mitch Marner is his favourite player and he cheers for the Leafs and the Blackhawks. Coach Ryan loves how much fun coaching and playing hockey is, and he looks up to one of the greatest coaches of all time—Scottie Bowman.
